The Mall is Safe with MULLET COP on Duty, a New Scout Comics Series
May 8, 2020One-man show, Tom Lintern, is writing and drawing his next series at Scout Comics, a book centered on a mall cop with a supercomputer that doubles up as a microwave!
The series centers on a mall cop, Fred, who goes undercover as a manager of an all-you-can-eat buffet. With the help of his supercomputer/microwave, the Mall Industries Two Thousand, or ‘M.I.T.T.‘, along with some trusted coworkers, Fred is primed to battle both gangs and corporate thugs.
“This story is completely different from anything I’ve worked on before— the art style, the tone, everything. Initially, it started with a conversation about moms in the 80’s and 90’s, who went power-walking in their nylon jumpsuits. I thought it would be funny to make a story about them being in a gang,” said Lintern. “Well, that’s how it started and now it’s turned into this. I honestly didn’t know how Scout would react when I submitted it, but I was thrilled to hear that they were interested in the project. I’m very excited to be working with them again!”
Mullet Cop #1 is currently slated to debut in late 2020. Keep an eye out for a release date!
