An Unlikely Love Story Turns Gory in Scout Comics’ SWEETDOWNFALL

Tell us if you’ve heard this one before, a crash test dummy, mermaid and crime boss walk into a bar …

That’s what you can come to expect in the upcoming awesome, and delightfully-bonkers series from Scout Comics and, one-man-show, artist/writer, Stefano Cardoselli in, Sweetdownfall. It’s the right kind of weird.

The series centers on an old model crash test dummy, Jonny, which has been repurposed as an assassin for an organized crime boss, Don Vito Coriaci. When Jonny is tasked with bringing in a mermaid, a delicacy in Santa Clara City, he opts not to comply, having fallen in love with her. So, he chooses to instead, save her life, and thus, the chase is on!

“I’m a fan of Martin Scorsese‘s films and, in particular, the movie, Goodfellas,” said Cardoselli. “I can’t say that it wasn’t the engine of inspiration when I started writing and drawing Sweetdownfall. It’s part of the cake batter of rusty cyperpunk and action movie that makes this series so special to me. I love that Scout Comics gives me the possibility to create freely!”

Sweetdownfall #1 is currently presumed to drop in late-2020.
