Secret Service Turns on the President in New Scout Series, THE RECOUNT

The president is assassinated on live television by one of his own secret service agents and now an agent must scramble to protect the vice president in a conspiracy-driven new series at Scout Comics, The Recount, from creators Jonathan Hedrick and Gabriel Elias Ibarra Nunez.

The series kicks off with a bang, literally, with the assassination of the president. Bree Barto, a secret service agent, is enlisted to protect the vice president from a mass conspiracy, put in place by a group called, The Masses. The two women have nowhere to go, competing political views and must ban together to preserve what’s left of American democracy.

“I’m really glad this title will be published with Scout Comics,” said Hedrick. “This is the kind of daring story they tell and they’re a perfect avenue for The Recount.”

The Recount #1 is expected to release at some point in fall of 2020.
