Ramon Jaurigue Takes Center Stage in LA VOZ DE M.A.Y.O.: TATA RAMBO
September 4, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoThe forthcoming original graphic novel, La Voz de M.A.Y.O.: Tata Rambo, from the creative duo of Henry Barajas and J. Gonzo, has been announced at Image/Top Cow for the holiday season.
The book is based on an oral history of Ramon Jaurigue, a World War II veteran and orphan, who co-founded the Mexican, American, Yaqui and Others (M.A.Y.O.) organization. The mission, to improve living and working conditions for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
An important, yet neglected part of American history, the book brings to light, for the very-first time, the story of Barajas’ great grandfather, Jaurigue, aka Tata Rambo, and spotlights his impactful contributions.
La Voz de M.A.Y.O.: Tata Rambo will hit bookshelves on Wednesday, Nov. 13.
