Transformers One Action Figures Revealed
April 18, 2024This is how you unveil movie toy news the right way—right after dropping the first trailer! With our first look at Transformers One this morning, revealing the early escapades of Orion Pax (Chris Hemsworth) and D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry) before their iconic transformations into Optimus Prime and Megatron, it’s time to delve into the toys inspired by this cinematic adventure. And Hasbro has us covered.
Much like other figures in the Studio Series line, this one comes with a cardboard display backdrop and a set of accessories including 2 shoulder pipes, a dual-barrel blaster, and Energon Axe attachments for both modes. While most Studio Series figures are based on scans of original movie digital assets, it remains unclear if this one follows suit.
Building on the success of Rise of the Beasts’ 2-in-1 Mask Figures, Hasbro introduces Optimus Prime and Bumblebee masks that effortlessly transform into playable robots. Perfect for younger enthusiasts, these masks offer a compact design suitable for smaller faces.
Enter the Mega-Changers, reminiscent of Hasbro’s classic 11-inch figures often found in drug stores. With straightforward sculpts and simple transformations, these $14.99 toys cater to younger fans seeking a more accessible play experience. Notably, many of these designs draw inspiration from Generation 1 rather than the new movie.
For $19.99 each, Prime Changers offer simplified 5-inch Transformers akin to the Deluxe Class but with fewer transformation steps. The first wave includes Orion Pax and Alpha Trion, although Orion Pax appears to have already taken on his Optimus Prime persona.
Anticipate these toys, along with others, hitting shelves in the summer, just ahead of the movie’s September release.
