From Alabama to Georgia, It’s Time to KILL WHITEY DONOVAN in December
September 16, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoJust announced, Dark Horse Comics, in conjunction with 12-Gauge Comics, is launching a miniseries centered on female empowerment and friendship, Kill Whitey Donovan, coming in December.
The creative duo of Sydney Duncan and Natalie Barahona deliver a story about two women, Hattie and Anna, as they navigate an America divided. Anna Hoyt is on a mission of revenge, following her sister’s suicide, to kill the man responsible, Jim ‘Whitey’ Donovan, while Hattie Virgil, in an exchange for freedom, sets out on a mission of her own agenda as well.
“I’d written Kill Whitey Donovan as a book about 10 years ago in between Gabriel Adam books, fascinated by this notion of how external and internal expectations guide identity. Hattie represented the external struggle and, Anna, the internal,” said Duncan. “I wanted to explore those ideas on this inferno-esque journey during the Civil War, which was basically this war for identity and, I thought, the perfect backdrop for the story.”
Kill Whitey Donovan #1 (of 5) lands on shelves on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019.
