Len Wiseman to Direct John Wick Female Assassin Spinoff, BALLERINA
October 8, 2019Filmmaker Len Wiseman will further expand the universe of John Wick by directing the spinoff, Ballerina, for Lionsgate, which will be a female-centric action film.
The film will focus on a young female assassin who is out for revenge against the people responsible for killing her family. The script comes courtesy of Shay Hatten, who also co-penned John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Wiseman most-recently directed and produced FOX‘s The Gifted and Swamp Thing series on DC Universe and is also set to helm the Sin City and Underworld television series.
Keanu Reeves returns in John Wick: Chapter 4, which begins filming next year, with a release date set for 2021, in theaters.
