Cast Continues to Round Out for Guillermo del Toro’s NIGHTMARE ALLEY
October 15, 2019Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has enlisted a starry cast for his upcoming film, Nightmare Alley, which will see production begin in early 2020.
The film is a reboot of 1947’s Nightmare Alley, which starred Tyrone Power and Coleen Gray, is an adaptation of a 1946 novel written by William Lindsay Gresham, of the same name. It takes place in a carnival, comprised of hustlers and con men, and centers on a mentalist, Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper), who teams with a psychologist, Lilith Ritter (Cate Blanchett) in taking advantage of the wealthy.
The film also will star Rooney Mara, as the assistant, Molly, both Toni Collette and David Strathairn, as Zeena and Pete Krumbein, Willem Dafoe and Ron Perlman, among others.
