It’s a Family Affair in First Teaser Trailer for Marvel Studios’ BLACK WIDOW

The first teaser trailer is here for Black Widow is here and Natasha Romanoff has been busy in reuniting with her first squad!

Much is still under wraps regarding the plot, but the upcoming solo film will serve as a look into the quests Romanoff took on between the films, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. By now, it’s nothing new to know that each character goes his or her own respective way after each team-up film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

There is a lot to digest in just a two-minute teaser, but we now know that Romanoff indeed had a family prior to the one she built with the Avengers. We also now know there are two Black Widow assassins (or one White Widow, per Romanoff’s sweet new digs), via her fight against Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh).

In the comics, Belova takes up the reigns as the titular assassin, so this could be her introduction as the heir apparent. We get our first-look at David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov, aka Red Guardian, whose costume is eerily similar to that of Captain America, the Russian version. The teaser also did good in keeping Rachel Weisz‘s character as Melina Vostokoff, who many think could end up being the protagonist of the film.

Lastly, we still don’t get a clue as to who The Taskmaster is played by, but a full trailer should drop in early 2020, so stay tuned!

Black Widow kicks off the MCU‘s Phase 4 in theaters on May 1, 2020.
