Funko is Changing the Game (Again) via New Line of Tabletop Strategy Sets
August 27, 2019If you are a fan of Funko POP!s and tabletop gaming, then the toy company has found a way to bring the two together, in glorious harmony!
The new line currently has two, four-character starter sets. The POP!s in the DC Comics set include Batman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn and Joker. Features in the Harry Potter set you get Lord Voldemort, Hermione Granger, Bellatrix Lestrange and, of course, Harry Potter.
Both sets also already have an expansion pack, each containing two additional characters. The DC expansion pack includes Robin and Catwoman, while the Harry Potter set features Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy. The additional expansion packs can be added to the sets or used in a standalone game.
The other Funkoverse sets feature The Golden Girls or Rick and Morty.
The games are made to accommodate 2-4 players, while taking 20-60 minutes to play, which includes four different modes of gameplay: Control, Flags, Territory or Leaders.
