IDW Announces STAR WARS ADVENTURES: THE CLONE WARS – BATTLE TALES
January 26, 2020A new five-part, limited series, per writer Michael Moreci, will highlight individual battles, set during the The Clone Wars in, Star Wars Adventures: The Clone Wars – Battle Tales.
The weekly IDW Publishing miniseries will pickup following Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and other Jedi Knights, as they all fight against incredible odds, Commander Cody, Captain Rex and other clone troopers. Each issue in the series will the swapping of war stories, featuring favorite characters from The Clone Wars animated series, such as Padmé Amidala, General Grievous and more!
“The Clone Wars era is probably my favorite in all of Star Wars. It has it all – big adventure, sweeping romance, Force mythology, Jedi powers and, of course, the awesome clones,” Moreci said. “This event series is going to bring together all the best, evergreen parts of Star Wars and weave a story that longtime fans (like myself) and new, younger readers (like my own kids) will definitely love.”
Each of the five, weekly issues will include a ‘framing sequence’ via Derek Charm and will also feature a new interior artist. Spearheading the first issue will be Arianna Florean, followed by Megan Levens (issue #2), Valentina Pinto (#3), Davide Tinto (#4) and, with issue #5, Philip Murphy.
Star Wars Adventures: The Clone Wars – Battle Tales #1 (of 5) arrives in April, 2020.
