The SAW Franchise Takes a New Turn in First Teaser Trailer for, SPIRAL
February 5, 2020A sadistic mastermind unleashes his or her (or their?) own twisted form of justice in the upcoming thriller, Spiral: From the Book of SAW, per the first official teaser trailer from Lionsgate.
The film will follow a brash detective, Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner, Det. William Schenk (Max Minghella), both under the shadow of an esteemed police vet, played by Samuel L. Jackson, and guided by Capt. Angie Garza (Marisol Nichols). A series of grisly murders start to become eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past, all while Det. Banks finds himself at the center of the killer’s game.
The upcoming film comes courtesy of the original SAW franchise team in both Mark Burg and Oren Koules. It was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman.
Spiral slides its way into theaters on May 15, 2020.
