Adam Sandler to Receive Founders Award at ASCAP Pop Music Ceremony

The upcoming 37th annual 2020 Pop Music Awards, per the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), are set to honor Adam Sandler with its Founders Award.

Sandler, who has been an ASCAP member for 28 years, will be presented with the award, which is given annually to, ‘songwriters and composers who have made pioneering contributions to music by inspiring and influencing their fellow music creators’, per the official ASCAP site.

The comedian and musician has registered over 250 ASCAP works, including six albums having received four Grammy nods, with two going double-platinum in, They’re All Gonna Laugh at You! and What the Hell Happened to Me?, a path that also includes original scores for his films as well.
