Image Unveils ‘Friends for a New Generation’ in Dramedy, GETTING IT TOGETHER
March 7, 2020A new creative team of writer Sina Grace, producer Omar Spahi and, making her debut, artist Jenny D. Fine, are coming together to tell a story of modern best friends and figuring it out in, Getting It Together.
The series will follow a group of 20-somethings and best friends, Sam, who is dating Lauren, and Jack, her brother and roommate. When Sam and Lauren opt to open up their long-term relationship, it sends social shockwaves through the group of friends, causing tensions to arise, while Jack is caught in the middle of everything, forced to take a side in the conflict that he never wanted to be a part of.
“Getting It Together came from Omar and I wanting to show how modern friendships survive in the era of open relationships, online dating, mental health awareness, and so on,” said Grace. “The struggle is real for Lauren, Jack, Sam and Annie. I couldn’t be luckier to make this book with my IRL friends Jenny, Shaun and Omar.”
Getting It Together #1 goes on sale on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
