Preview: MegaCon Orlando – March 19-22, 2026

ORLANDO, FL – MEGACON Orlando returns to the Orange County Convention Center March 19–22, 2026, promising its most expansive event yet. After drawing more than 180,000 fans last year, the Southeast’s premier pop culture convention is set to deliver four action-packed days celebrating movies, television, comics, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, anime, and gaming.

The 2026 event launches with an impressive first round of celebrity announcements. Fans will have the opportunity to meet John Cena (actor, wrestler); Alec Baldwin (30 Rock); Karl Urban (The Boys, Judge Dredd); Orlando Bloom; Liv Tyler; Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd (The Lord of the Rings); John Boyega (Star Wars); Helen Hunt (Twister); Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, and Brent Spiner (Star Trek: The Next Generation); Walter Koenig (Star Trek); Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian); Josh Holloway (Lost); Ashley Eckstein (Founder, Her Universe); James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer); and Cedric Yarbrough and Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!). And that’s not all, rockstar guest announcements will continue to be revealed over the weeks leading up to the event!

Throughout the weekend, attendees can take part in celebrity Q&A sessions, gaining behind-the-scenes insight and stories directly from their favorite stars. Fans can also commemorate their experience with professional photo ops and autograph signings, alongside a slate of premium fan experiences, including:

An Evening with the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years – The Lord of the Rings 25th Anniversary Reunion Tour brings Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd together to honor a quarter-century of Middle-earth. Ticketed experiences include exclusive panels, photo ops, autographs, backstage access, and limited-edition merchandise.

John Cena Live – Meet John Cena for autographs, photo opportunities, and special interactive experiences. Fans are encouraged to reserve early—because you may not see him if you wait too long.

On Stage with Orlando Bloom – Spend time with Orlando Bloom through autograph sessions, photo ops, and a special on-stage experience.

Jim Lee Experience – Comic fans won’t want to miss the chance to meet legendary artist Jim Lee, featuring exclusive autographs and premium sketch opportunities.

Frank Miller Experience – Go behind the scenes with the visionary creator of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Packages include early entry, a private welcome session, priority seating, signed collectibles, and premium autograph or sketch options.

Joe Quesada Experience – Join the iconic creator for a rare fan experience, including live stage appearances, exclusive merchandise, selfies, and autographs tailored for comic enthusiasts.

Cosplay takes center stage once again as MEGACON Orlando hosts the Masters of Cosplay Grand Finale for the second consecutive year. The 2025 qualifier winners from across North America will compete for a $10,000 grand prize, while MEGACON also serves as the home of the 2026 Masters of Cosplay Sunshine Qualifier. Attendees can enjoy cosplay-focused panels, themed meetups, professional cosplayer appearances, and the always-popular Cosplay Red Carpet, where creativity shines throughout the weekend.

Comics fans can experience Comics Xplosion, a high-energy live art competition featuring top illustrators battling head-to-head as they create original artwork in real time. Finished pieces will be available to fans following the event, and the competition is included with a MEGACON Orlando badge.

Beyond comics and cosplay, MEGACON Orlando offers programming for every fandom. Sci-fi and fantasy fans can explore immersive panels and family-friendly experiences spanning iconic franchises. Animation enthusiasts can meet voice actors and dive into discussions celebrating the craft of animation. Gamers can test their skills in the Gaming Arena, featuring tournaments, tabletop games, free-play stations, and Q&A sessions with industry talent.

Adding to the weekend, MEGACON Orlando 2026 will host a special after-hours event at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday, March 20, granting attendees exclusive access to select attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.
