Trailer: The Final Episodes of ‘Cobra Kai’ Drop on February 13 on Netflix
February 3, 2025Johnny Lawrence and longtime rival Daniel LaRusso are joining forces for one last shot at the Sekai Taikai. The final five episodes of Cobra Kai premiere on Netflix on Feb. 13.
Played by William Zabka and Ralph Macchio, Johnny and Daniel have spent decades as adversaries—both in and out of the dojo. But in the official trailer for the show’s last episodes, released Monday, the two stand united for their biggest battle yet.
The conclusion of Cobra Kai’s sixth and final season—Part 3—marks the end of the three-part release on Netflix. Following the dramatic events of Part 2, Johnny and Daniel have one last chance to take on the Sekai Taikai. Their journey brings them back to where it all started: the Valley of Los Angeles, nearly 40 years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament.
“In the beginning, we were enemies,” Daniel reflects in a voiceover as the trailer weaves together past and present footage from the Karate Kid saga. Johnny follows with, “I guess it was inevitable—we’d end up on the same side.” As tensions ease between their dojos, the stage is set for a climactic showdown that brings the franchise full circle.
The final season of the Karate Kid spinoff comes from creators Hayden Schlossberg, Josh Heald, and Jon Hurwitz, who have hinted at expanding the universe beyond Cobra Kai. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Schlossberg teased the potential for spinoffs, including a Mr. Miyagi prequel. “The show may be ending, but our love for The Karate Kid isn’t,” he said. “Johnny Lawrence’s redemption story is coming to a close, but there are plenty of other stories to tell—whether it’s about these characters’ pasts or their futures.”
Cobra Kai is written and executive produced by Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg through Counterbalance Entertainment. Will Smith, James Lassiter, and Caleeb Pinkett serve as executive producers for Westbrook Studios, alongside Susan Ekins and Sony Pictures Television. Macchio and Zabka also executive produce.
The final five episodes launch on Netflix on February 13. “Kiai!”
