Jason Mantzoukas Added to Cast of INFINITE as Production Begins
September 14, 2019The comic relief for the upcoming action thriller film, Infinite, has been cast in The League alum, Jason Mantzoukas.
The film, which is directed by Antoine Fuqua, is actually an adaptation of the novel by D. Eric Maikranz, The Reincarnationist Papers: A Memoir of Past Lives – The Account of Evan Michaels. It follows Evan Michaels (Mark Wahlberg), who is a self-diagnosed schizophrenic, in a world where near-immortal men and women are known as ‘infinites’, are continuously reincarnated over lifetimes that span centuries. Michaels starts to realize that his schizo episodes are actually not hallucinations, but fact memories from his past lives. When he meets a secret society of people that can also remember thoughts and visions of their past lives, he attempts to join it.
Other notable cast members include: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Wallis Day, Dylan O’Brien, Kae Alexander, Rupert Friend, Sophie Cookson and Melissa Neal.
Mantzoukas has appeared on quite a few fan-favorite shows, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Big Mouth, while he also served as the antagonist on the third installment of the Wick series, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
Infinite is currently in pre-production as filming begins at the end of September, 2019. The film is scheduled for a summer release in 2020 (August 7).
