The second season of the sci-fi action-comedy Fallout is on its way.

Prime Video has given the green light for another installment of the series, inspired by the beloved Bethesda Softworks gaming universe. Spearheaded by showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, and backed by producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, Fallout has injected Prime Video with a surge of excitement, debuting to stellar reviews and maintaining a remarkable 94 percent positive critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. Prime Video boasts that Fallout ranks among its top three titles, although concrete data to support this claim is notably absent.

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon MGM Studios, praised the creative team, acknowledging their ability to captivate audiences and exceed expectations. Salke lauded the cast, including Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan, for their stellar performances. She expressed gratitude to the creators, Bethesda, and the showrunners for their contributions, eagerly anticipating the journey into Fallout’s surreal universe in the upcoming season.

Filming for the second season is slated to relocate to California, taking advantage of a lucrative $25 million tax credit. With a budget of $152 million, as reported by the California Film Commission, the series hints at exploring the iconic world of New Vegas in the next installment, following a tantalizing tease in the first season’s finale.

Showrunners Nolan and Joy extended their appreciation to the cast, crew, and supporters, expressing enthusiasm for the opportunity to continue pushing the boundaries of the Fallout universe.

Set 200 years post-nuclear apocalypse, Fallout’s debut season tracked the adventures of a trio of survivors: a sheltered “vault dweller” (Ella Purnell), a valiant member of the Brotherhood of Steel (Aaron Clifton Moten), and an undead Ghoul (Walton Goggins).

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films in collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, Fallout boasts an impressive executive team, including Nolan, Joy, Robertson-Dworet, Wagner, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard, and James Altman.
