Safdie Brothers Enlist NBA Talent in First Trailer for UNCUT GEMS

The Safdie brothers, Benny and Josh, have dropped the first trailer for their upcoming ‘dramedy’, Uncut Gems, which spotlights a jewelry store owner with gambling and infidelity problems.

The film is set in the ‘diamond district’ of New York City and centers on Howard Ratner (Adam Sandler), who gambles on a Boston Celtics game and player stats, must now find a way to pay his debts when some merchandise is stolen from one of his top sellers.

The film also stars future NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett, Idina Menzel, LaKeith Stanfield, Julia Fox and Eric Bogosian.

Uncut Gems is currently tabbed to release in theaters on Christmas day, 2019.
