A new series, Stealth, originally created by Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri, is coming to Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment, as well as being adapted for the big screen by Universal Pictures.

The upcoming comic book series, which will be written by Mike Costa, with art provided from Nate Bellegarde, and of which the film will be based off of, follows Stealth, a vigilante hero, who has waged war on crime in the city of Detroit for decades. However, his most recent pursuit of justice has gone too far. Only a reporter, Tony Barber, knows that behind his reckless behavior is an older man, who is battling Alzheimer’s Disease. As he is unwilling to accept that he’s no longer the hero the city needs, while all his enemies are eager to force him into early retirement.

The film is coming via director and producer Lee Daniels. Both Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby will be writing the script. Kirkman and a bevy of Hollywood‘s finest will be serving as producers on the project.

Stealth #1 will go on sale on March 11, 2020, while the film is in early production stages and more news will follow in the coming months.
