Image Announces ‘Comedic Yet Heartfelt Love Letter to Comics Medium’ in OLYMPIA

Coming to Image Comics, a limited series, which it has dubbed a, ‘meditation on hope and loss’, from Curt Pires and Alex Diotto, Olympia.

The book centers on Elon, a kid who spends his days reading comics, until his favorite superhero, Olympian, comes jumping off the page and into his reality! As he helps the wounded and confused hero, he quickly realizes that he was not the only thing that traveled through as well … Something evil.

“We started working on Olympia just about three years ago, when my father (Tony Pires) was first hospitalized, as a means of giving us something to look forward to, to hope for, in dark times,” Pires said. “All these months later, the book’s finally coming out, even after he’s left us.”
