New Horror Series Introduced by Image Comics in FAMILY TREE

A much-anticipated genre-bending series from the creative dream team of Jeff Lemire and Phil Hester is coming, Family Tree, which is set to launch in November.

The story is focused on an 8-year-old girl that begins to (literally) transform into a tree. Her family sets out on a mission, navigating the back roads of America, to find a cure. The farther the group goes, the more the forces that have transformed their daughter try to tear them apart, which includes throwing cults, mercenaries and other obstacles in their paths.

“Family Tree has been a story that has been percolating for a long time,” Lemire said. “In a lot of ways, it’s a return to the tone and many of the themes I explored with my Animal Man run; a look at the many horrors that can threaten to tear a family apart and the bonds that keep them together in the face of unspeakable events.”

Family Tree #1 to releases to bookshelves on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019.
