For Officer Syd Homes, Comedy is Hard, but DYING IS EASY
September 19, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoCreators Joe Hill, a New York Times Best-Selling Author, and Martin Simmonds introduce a cop-turned-comedian in new limited series at IDW, which will launch in December.
The limited series will span over five issues and center on disgraced cop, bitter stand-up comic and wanted felon, Syd ‘Shit-Talk’ Homes, as he performs at various dive venues and grim back alley establishments, all while making enemies as he steals materials, putting a target on his back.
“Both as a writer and reader, nothing turns me on like that jolt of discovery and revelation, when the scattered parts of a narrative suddenly click together to make an unexpected picture,” said Hill. “That’s the thrill of a fair-play mystery, where all the clues are there if the reader is clever enough to spot them, and there’s a chance to match wits with the detective.”
Dying is Easy #1 (of 5) will launch this holiday season in December, 2019.
