A Story of Love and Betrayal in CRIMINAL MACABRE: THE BIG BLEED OUT

The next chapter in the Cal McDonald saga has arrived at Dark Horse, via series creator Steve Niles and newcomer, artist Gyula Németh, with Criminal Macabre: The Big Bleed Out.

The four-issue limited series will pickup where we find supernatural detective McDonald is wandering the streets as a vagrant, but is forced out of his self-imposed retirement to resume his monster-killing career. The series starts with a beautiful woman that has him shaken, she turns out to be a vampire and their union will surely end with a bang.

“I’ve been writing Cal McDonald since I was in my 20s and, to this day, he is the most-fun to write,” said Niles. “I couldn’t be happier to see him come back with Gyula doing the art. I think fans of Cal will be pleasantly surprised and, hopefully, a little horrified.”

Criminal Macabre: The Big Bleed Out #1 (of 4) goes on sale on Wednesday, Dec. 11, but is available for preorder now.
