Boom! Goes an Afro-Futuristic Tale in KUDZU: HEART OF THE MOUNTAIN

An original graphic novel, via cartoonist and one-man show, Dustin Bolton, is set to fuse both science fiction and fantasy together in a story about discovering the future, but by first understanding the past, in Kudzu: Heart of the Mountain, courtesy of Boom! Studios.

The OGN picks up years after a worldwide ecological disaster. Kudzu uncovers his family history, which is linked to a the terrible destruction of the world. As he learns the truth, he is drawn into a clash that threatens all of mankind, but could also be the key to saving the planet and starting fresh.

“I’m so excited to unveil the world of Kudzu, with its mythic beasts, rusty mechs and caverns full of a mysterious power called ‘tama’,” said Bolton. “I also can’t wait for everyone to meet Kudzu, the boy who bonds with an ancient power to save his fragile homeland from the grips of a tyrant and ultimately discovers the power that lies within himself.”

Kudzu: Heart of the Mountain will be available digitally in July, 2020, while print copies will hit bookshelves in August.
