Light Years From Earth, Stranded with Amnesia, CANOPUS rings in the terror

From creator Dave Chisholm, via Scout Comics, comes a story about survival, 300 light years away from Earth with minimal materials.

The story centers on Helen, an amnesiac astronaut, who wakes up on a lifeless alien planet, far from home. She has no memories, beyond a hazy sense of urgency to get back to Earth. She is joined by her companion robot with whom, together, they explore the planet for materials to repair the ship. Circumstances are not what they seem, however, as painful memories return to her, her mind starts to go, manifesting monstrous creations with intentions of destroying her. As the story goes, so does her past and future.

“I can’t wait to share Canopus with the world. It comes from a very personal space–from some demons I carry around with me. Canopus is ultimately an exploration of resentment, memory, identity and the idea of forgiveness–of letting go,” said Chisholm. “But it’s also a sci-fi story with cool monsters and fun characters! That’s the great thing about sci-fi–you can tell a personal, meaningful, poignant story through these big, imaginative, exciting ideas.”

Canopus #1 will launch the series at some point in 2020. Get this one in your pull!
