NYCC 2019: ARCHIE AND KATY KEEN Limited Series Announced

In her first appearance in over a decade, Katy Keene and Riverdale’s famous redhead are teaming up in Archie and Katy Keene, in 2020!

The five-issue limited series picks up following the events of Archie and Sabrina, from co-writers Mariko Tamaki and Kevin Panetta and art by Laura Braga. Keene is in the spotlight and the Insta-famous ‘it-girl’ in Riverdale will get Archie Andrews and his ultra-competitive ego rattling.

“Katy Keene is an incredibly talented, smart, fashionable and cool character,” Tamaki said. “We’re adding a few modern twists, of course. There is very little more fun than writing Archie comics!”

Keene was first introduced in 1945 by Bill Woggon and has just landed her first-ever television series, which will air on The CW, starring Lucy Hale as the titular fan-favorite character.
