NYCC 2019: New WOLVERINE Series Announced as Part of the ‘Dawn of X’ Saga

October 4, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

Logan is back and will be ‘popping claws’ in an all-new ongoing series, Wolverine, as announced at New York Comic Con, for a 2020 release.

The new series, from Benjamin Percy and the artistic tandem of Adam Kubert and Viktor Bogdonavic, will kick off the second wave of the Dawn of X books, proceeding X-Men, Excalibur, X-Force, Marauders, New Mutants and Fallen Angels, as Wolverine will head off to explore the underworld of the mutants’ newfound status quo.

“We all have that character. The one we love more than any other. The one we treasure in books and movies and maybe memorialize with a t-shirt or tattoo. The one we relate to as a cracked-mirror version of ourselves,” said Percy. “For me—as a growly, grumpy, hairy, smelly, muscled, flannel-clad, whiskey-swilling loner who lives in the woods of the frozen north—it’s Logan. And though this might sound corny, it also feels right to say that writing Wolverine is a dream come true, a childhood fantasy realized.”
