Rising country music star, Sturgill Simpson, in conjunction with Z2 Comics and creator Jason Aaron, will adapt his new album, Sound & Fury, as an original graphic novel.

That’s right, Sound & Fury: The Graphic Novel, will serve as a prequel to the Netflix film, Sturgill Simpson Presents Sound & Fury, which launched simultaneously in debuting the new album.

The book, which will span 144 pages, will tell the origin story of a vigilante samurai, who is in search for justice, while on a path of bloody violence in a post-apocalyptic dystopia.

This upcoming graphic novel will not only mark Simpson’s first in the medium, but also Aaron’s debut series with Z2 as well.

Sound & Fury: The Graphic Novel will land on bookshelves on Sept. 14, 2020, and will be available in both a regular edition and limited edition. Check out the covers for both editions below.
