The NEAR DEATH Story Continues in Upcoming OGN, OVER MY DEAD BODY
October 22, 2019A new pulpy thriller of a series coming to Image Comics, via the creative squad of, Jay Faerber, Simone Guglielmini, Gigi Baldassini and Ron Riley, centers on a contract killer on a road of redemption in a standalone original graphic novel titled, Over My Dead Body.
The story, which launches out of the pages of the series, Near Death, follows a prison warden’s daughter, who has fallen in with a separatist militia. In order to save her, he enlists the most-dangerous and notorious contract killer, inmate Markham. Although, Markham has begun to atone for his past, following a near-death experience, and no longer kills. He will try to save the woman, but he won’t kill doing it, as this may be his one last shot at redemption. The book promises to satisfy fans of both Jack Reacher and John Wick.
“Since the moment Near Death ended, Simone and I have been planning the next step in Markham’s path to redemption,” said Faerber. “We’re thrilled to unveil this new thriller that serves as a continuation of that series, but is presented in a fresh, accessible format for new readers.”
Over My Dead Body will land on bookshelves on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020.
