Valiant Announces BLOODSHOT Zero Issue Ahead of Film Release

Creators Tim Seeley and Marc Laming will combine on a one-off prequel story to the upcoming Bloodshot film in Bloodshot #0.

Valiant Entertainment‘s super soldier will be front-and-center in 2020, with an upcoming live-action adaptation and an all-new adventure that will reveal the origin of the character in a brand new mission. The single issue will also mark the 150th all-time issue to be published for the character.

“Tim’s script was exciting, packed with action, but also has a ton of heart and had a really interesting take on Bloodshot‘s character,” Laming said. “The zero issue has been a great challenge to draw and it has really stretched me artistically. I’ve tried to use some storytelling techniques I’ve not used before to best tell Tim’s story and I think it has paid off and I’ve produced some really strong pages.”

Bloodshot #0 goes on sale on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, followed by Bloodshot, starring Vin Diesel, in theaters on February 21.
