A Speculative OGN Explores ‘What If…’ Another Beatle Died in, PAUL IS DEAD
December 10, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoThe tandem of Paolo Baron and Ernesto Carbonetti are set to flip ‘Beatlemania’ upside down with an upcoming original graphic novel, Paul is Dead, which is bound for Image Comics, next spring.
The book, which is set in 1966 London, in the atmosphere of Abbey Road Studios, during the The Beatles‘ recording sessions of the album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, will serve as the first ‘fake news’ story of the entertainment world, ever, in retelling the most-popular conspiracy theory in music history.
The John Lennon, distraught, the biggest rock band of the 1960s, so he sets out to play detective in examining the final hours of Paul McCartney‘s death, which seemingly occurred in a car fire. With both Ringo Starr and George Harrison in tow, the remaining members are determined to get to the bottom of things.
Paul is Dead will be available on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, and in bookstores, on April 28.
