Marvel Opens Doors for Enrollment to the STRANGE ACADEMY

The next chapter of magic in the Marvel Universe has arrived as Doctor Strange is playing the role of Professor X and launching his own school for gifted youngsters in, Strange Academy, from creators Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos.

The series will focus on what Stephen Strange has been traditionally reluctant to do in opening a school for young sorcerers. The story will center on Emily Bright, who was born with magical powers, and the illegitimate son of the Dark Dimension‘s lord, Doyle Dormammu, and their classmates. Mysteries begin to unfold, along with plenty of teen drama, not just for the school, but for the entire MU! The series is set in New Orleans and via its culture and folklore, will play a pivotal role in the flow of the book.

“What we’re really trying to do is tell those classic coming-of-age stories that we’ve seen in so many other properties or other projects out there in the world, whether it be TV or film or novels or comics,” said Young. “Whether it’s kids running around mazes or kids at a magic school or people running around trying to survive a post-apocalyptic landscape.”

Strange Academy #1 is set to appear on bookshelves in March of 2020.
