Kamala’s Law is Put to the Test in Three New Series Following OUTLAWED

January 10, 2020 Off By Michael Stagno

Spinning out of the pages of the upcoming one-shot, Outlawed, from creators Eve Ewing and Kim Jacinto, comes three all-new teen superhero squads, all set to leave their respective marks on the Marvel Universe.

All of the MU‘s young heroes are facing a new threat in being outlawed, per a new law, which restricts people under the age of 21 to be superheroes. However, Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), Miles Morales (Spider-Man) and others are opposed to what’s being dubbed ‘Kamala’s Law’ and reaching far and wide to continue in serving the world from those that seek to destroy it.

The three upcoming new series following the single, groundbreaking issue, will see some old teams reunite and also some new ones come into the fold as well.

First up Champions, from Ewing and Simone di Meo. This one will pin Khan, Morales and Sam Alexander, aka Nova, against C.R.A.D.L.E. task force, but also a spy in their midst as well.

Next up is New Warriors, from Daniel Kibblesmith and Luciano Vecchio, in which Night Thrasher will bring the band back together in Firestar, Rage, Speedball, Namorita and Silhouette, but also will mentor a whole new generation of heroes as well.

Lastly, from creators, Ryan North and Nico Leon, comes Power Pack, a team of four siblings vying for their right to defend their home against not only the powers of evil, but those trying to enforce the underage superhero law.

The upcoming books will make for quite the turning point for all the young superheroes, but will also shakeup the MU as well.

Keep an eye out for Outlawed #1 to drop on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, while the spinoffs, Champions #1, an ongoing series, and New Warriors #1 and Power Pack #1, both five-issue limited series, will all debut in April.
