The Hickman Universe Continues to Expand with the Return of X-FACTOR
January 14, 2020Yet another team is spinning out of Jonathan Hickman‘s X-Men Universe and this one will decide your fate if you die and whether you qualify for reincarnation, per creators Leah Williams and David Baldeón, comes X-Factor!
The series will, by the grace of The Five (or Six?), center on the resurrection protocols on the right to bring back any fallen mutant. However, such gifts don’t come short of having problems and complications! When a mutant dies, X–Factor is there to investigate how and why, to maintain the rules of reincarnation.
The squad will combine the powers of: Northstar, Polaris, Prodigy, Eye-Boy, Daken, and Prestige to solve cases of murder and missing persons.
“Eye-Boy was a given, both in having x-ray vision and fulfilling the requisite team role as, ‘baby’. I knew we’d need a team telepath, and Rachel Grey was my top pick. She’s fascinatingly under-utilized and carries so much incredible lore and untapped potential,” said Williams. “Then I snapped up Prodigy, because there’s so much more to explore with his character in Krakoa. Then, I (felt that the team needed an) enforcer and went with Daken, because there’s a lot of interesting story-mining to do with the ‘Snikt’ family.”
