February 20, 2020 Off By Michael Stagno

Artist Ryan Sook is ringing in the 80th anniversaries of two of the most-beloved characters in DC Comics history, Catwoman and The Joker, in creating artist reinterpretations of storied creators works in mask format.

It’s been 80 years since both Clown Prince of Crime and ‘The Cat’, Selina Kyle, appeared in Batman #1 (1940). The publisher plans on celebrating the longevity of the two characters with not only 100-page anniversary issues, but eight punch-out, die-cut masks, four each per character, by Sook.

The Catwoman masks will launch on April 15, 2020, the same day the Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-page Super Spectacular #1 drops in shops. The renditions include art from Bruce Timm, Jim Aparo, Darwyn Cooke and Joëlle Jones.
