New Original Graphic Novel, FIREFLY: WATCH HOW I SOAR, to Spotlight ‘Wash’
April 16, 2020Another collaboration between Boom! Studios and 20th Century Fox has been announced with an upcoming original graphic novel, Firefly: Watch How I Soar, which will highlight Hoban “Wash” Washburne.
The book, which will be based lightly on the Joss Whedon series and characters he created, comes courtesy of creators Ethan Young and Jorge Corona. It will reveal untold stories about Wash’s extraordinary life, both pre- and post-life aboard the Serenity.
The series will find Wash as his memories seemingly flash before his eyes, while revisiting some of the most-important and never-before-told moments from his life, including growing up on a pollution-riddled planet and meeting the woman of his dreams, Zoë Alleyne. In those final moments, he will attempt to connect with a surprising someone he never thought possible.
“From the moment we first met him playing with his toy dinosaurs, Wash has been one of the most beloved members of the Firefly crew and, Watch How I Soar, gives us everything we ever wanted to know about our favorite hotshot pilot and space husband,” said editor Jeanine Schaefer. “We’re excited to explore this new ground that fans have been asking us to cover. Get ready for some very big stories you’d never imagine we could tell.”
Firefly: Watch How I Soar will be available on shelves in November, 2020.
