The World’s Five Hottest Kitchens ‘Turn Up the Heat’ in Forthcoming, SAVOR

An all-new and all-ages original graphic novel, from the team of Neil Kleid and John Broglia, mashes up the world of cooking and gladiatorial warriors in the upcoming, Savor.

The book centers on Savor Batonnet, a warrior chef, who has returned home, after years away, in which she discovers demonic pirate cooks have captured her family and ceased her island. She must set out to now battle the five deadly restaurants, assemble the ‘ultimate knife’ and saver her loved ones to ear the title of a hero.

“Savor is the type of book I’ve long wanted to write for my kids. As I get older, my focus remains on stories about legacy, but viewed less from the POV of a son … and more through the eyes of a father,” said Klein. “This one’s for my daughter, offering her a tale about finding your way, becoming who you’re meant to be, fighting for those important to you, and honoring the stories that have come before. It’s inspired by a lot of things—my love of food and cooking competitions, Disney films and video games. Here’s hoping that warriors of all ages will enjoy this bite-sized adventure!”

The 144-page trade paperback, Savor, will arrive on shelves on Jan. 6, 2021.
