IDW Publishing Announces GOOSEBUMPS: SECRETS OF THE SWAMP Miniseries
June 18, 2020Best-selling author Marieke Nijkamp, along with artist Yasmin Flores Montanez, are reigniting the fan-favorite Goosebumps, as a limited series, at IDW Publishing in, Goosebumps: Secrets of the Swamp.
The five-issue series centers on a 12-year-old girl named, Blake, who is sent to her aunt’s home at Fever Swamp for the summer. She fully expects her weeks to consist of gaming and mosquito bites, but instead finds herself at the epicenter of a turf war between werewolves and wolf hunters. Her back against the wall, she must utilize her gaming skills to get out alive.
“I have fond memories of Goosebumps terrifying me as a kid and I’m thrilled to get to play around in Fever Swamp now. Secrets is a story all about finding your place in a new town, figuring out who your friends are and dealing with the deadly monsters that lurk in the shadows,” said Nijkamp. “With Yasmin bringing the characters to life in such a wonderful way, I hope you’ll get caught in its snare too. Of course, in Fever Swamp, all secrets have sharp teeth, so best be careful you don’t get bitten!”
Goosebumps: Secrets of the Swamp #1 (of 5) is currently slated to debut in September of 2020 and will feature multiple cover variants, including a main cover from Bill Underwood, as well as the retailer incentive by Clara Meath.
