NYCC 2019: First Images, Trailer Released for THE WALKING DEAD Spinoff

October 3, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

We already knew that The Walking Dead Universe was expanding beyond The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead and now, per images released prior to its New York Comic Con panel, we have proof of the yet-untitled spinoff.

It’s true, AMC continues to embrace ‘walkers’ in continuing the story as a third installment in the universe is en route. The story will center on two young female protagonists Hope (Alexa Mansour), and Iris (Aliyah Royale) as first-generation teens to have come-of-age in the post-apocalyptic world overrun with the undead. Some will become heroes, others will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever.

The other recurring cast members include: Annet Mahendru (Huck), Nicolas Cantu (Elton), Hal Cumpston (Silas) and Nico Tortorella, as Felix.

The Walking Dead started it all, as Fear the Walking Dead tells the story of the apocalypse on the West Coast, but now we’ll catch a glimpse at what it’s like to grow up in the mess. There will surely be a crossover event, possibly a return of former cast members from the staple show as well.

The Walking Dead Universe spinoff series is currently slated to debut in spring of 2020.
