NYCC 2019: Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes Confirm CLERKS 3 is Happening

October 2, 2019 Off By Haven Huth

The Clerks gang has gone from providing horrible customer service in black-and-white at a convenience store, to dishing out fast food with even worse service, in color, to now … Kevin Smith has announced we are getting a Clerks 3 and all we can say is, ‘Snooch to the Mother &%@#in’ Nooch!’

That’s right, the franchise that launched spinoffs like, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Mallrats, is coming full circle with a third installment! Smith and Jason Mewes, recently took to Instagram, along with the OG clerk, Jeff Anderson, himself, to spread the word that Clerks 3 is indeed in the works.

Clerks started it all in 1994, telling the story of a day in the lives of two convenience clerks, Dante Hicks (Brian O’Halloran) and Randal Graves (Anderson), as they annoy customers, discuss movies and play hockey on the store roof. After burning the Quick Stop down, the two take on jobs at a fast food chain, Mooby’s, in Clerks II. Where will the third film take them, we’ll have to wait to see!

Smith is all about the reboots lately. He and Mewes will both star in the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, which hits theaters on Friday, Oct. 15, 2019, in a film where the dynamic duo head back to Hollywood (again) to try and stop another Bluntman and Chronic film from getting made (again).

Keep an eye out for more news on Clerks 3 as it rolls in. We got you covered!
