The inaugural grand champion of the Fortnite World Cup has been crowned in American teenager Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf.

Bugha hoisted the trophy and garnered a $3 million pot. The Sentinels player mashed buttons against 99 other players, earning an astounding 59 points, a wide margin of victory indeed. Runner-up, Psalm, had 33 points and took home $1.8 million in prize money. Epikwhale rounded out the Top 3 with 32 points, good for a $1.2 million check.

“Words can’t even explain how I feel right now,” proclaimed Giersdorf. “I’m just so happy. Everything I’ve done, the grind, it’s all paid off. It’s just insane.”

Needless to say, Fortnite , an Epic Games IP, is a global phenomenon that has amassed over $1.3 billion in revenue and compiled an audience of well over 125 million players.
