Julius Avery to Direct SAMARITAN, Starring Sylvester Stallone

Filmmaker Julius Avery has been enlisted to direct superhero drama, Samaritan, starring Sylvester Stallone, as filming will begin in early 2020.

The film will center on a young boy that learns a superhero, who was previously thought missing after an epic battle, 20 years ago, may indeed still be alive and living in exile.

Avery, known for the 2018 breakout hit film, Overlord, has also been tied to the upcoming reimagining of Flash Gordon as well.

Stallone, who most recently starred in the presumed final installment in the John Rambo series, Rambo: Last Blood, will also revive yet another franchise in the The Expendables 4.

Samaritan will make its silver screen debut on Nov. 20, 2020.
