Tom Hanks to Star in a Different Toy Story in Mattel’s MAJOR MATT MASON

A real-life adaptation of the Mattel 1968 action figure is coming to the big screen and Tom Hanks will take the lead in, Major Matt Mason, at Paramount.

The action figure, which paralleled to America’s space race with Russia in the 1960s, stems from the Man in Space series and centers on Mason, an astronaut who lives and works on the moon. The line includes both human astronauts and aliens in the set.

Also attached to the project is screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, who worked with Hanks on both The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons.

Hanks once again voiced Woody in Toy Story 4 this year and has six upcoming projects in 2020-21.
