Warner Bros. Drops Official Trailer for JUST MERCY, Starring Michael B. Jordan

The upcoming novel adaptation of Bryan Stevenson‘s Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption has released its first trailer.

The film, from director Destin Daniel Cretton, will tell the real-life story of lawyer Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) and his historic battles for justice. After graduating from Harvard, he opted to head to Alabama to defend those wrongly condemned or in need of proper representation. Along with the support of Eva Ansley (Brie Larson), he takes on the case of Walter McMillan (Jamie Foxx), who, in 1987, was sentenced to death for allegedly killing an 18-year-old girl, despite much evidence in proving his innocence.

Just Mercy is currently slated for a limited release in theaters on Christmas and will go out nationwide on January 10.
