G.I. Joe Spinoff, SNAKE EYES, Completes Starring Core 4
October 14, 2019 Off By Michael StagnoThe upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff, Snake Eyes, has set its four stars as the action figure line-turned-film franchise is set to begin production soon.
Not much has yet to be revealed regarding the plot for the upcoming film, but it will be centered around the character of Snake Eyes, played by Henry Golding. Joining him, front-and-center, are: Úrsula Corberó, as The Baroness, Andrew Koji, as rival Storm Shadow and, the most-recent cast addition, Samara Weaving, as Scarlett.
The film may serve as a standalone, operating separate from both G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013). This could propel G.I. Joe into a full reboot, but that remains to be determined.
G.I. Joe was first adapted as an animated series, which spanned 85 episodes in the mid-80s. A complete list of all the items in the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toy line can be found, HERE.
Snake Eyes is currently slated for an Oct. 16, 2020, theatrical release.
