Zoë Kravitz Selected as Catwoman in THE BATMAN

The cat that always comes back has been cast, as Zoë Kravitz, who beat out a laundry list of top talent, will be the new Catwoman in the upcoming Matt Reeves‘ reimagining of The Batman.

Kravitz will portray Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, a titular fan-favorite character who plays both the antagonist and love interest of one Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, played by Robert Pattinson. She also has exceptional skills in martial arts, combat and gymnastics, with the reflexes of a cat, who always lands on her feet and has nine lives to get the job done.

Kravitz is no stranger to the character either, having voiced her in The Lego Batman Movie (2017), as she will look to fill some big shoes, following both Sharon Stone, who took on the role in the 1992 sequel, Batman Returns, and Halle Berry, who also portrayed the character on the big screen in a standalone film, with 2004’s Catwoman.

The Batman is currently scheduled to release in theaters on June 25, 2021. Keep it here for updates as more cast are announced. Production begins in early 2020.
