Another classic Universal Pictures adaptation is coming, this time per Elizabeth Banks, who will both direct and star in the The Invisible Woman.

One can either assume that the Universal Monsters universe is still very much on, or the monsters will be spotlighted more singularly and not in an interconnected cinematic universe. Other than the The Invisible Woman, there is also a The Invisible Man film coming in 2020, along with two future films in the world of Dracula, Renfield and Dark Army.

Banks is coming off having recently directed the Charlie’s Angels reboot, while she is currently filming on the series, Mrs. America.

No news yet on when production begins on any of the other films, outside of The Invisible Man, which is set for a release on Feb. 28, 2020, but stay tuned!
