November 1, 2019 Off By Michael Stagno

Our collective Spider Sense(s) are tingling with the news that we are not only getting a sequel to the award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but we also have an official release date, per a joint announcement by Marvel and Sony!

The film will once again center on Miles Morales, who takes up the reigns of Spidey after the Peter Parker in his version of the Spider-Verse, dies in combat. It will also (presumably) return the fan-favorite cast from its predecessor, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Gwen (or Ghost-Spider), Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir and Peni Parker. The ending also revealed that Spider-Man 2099 has been overseeing everything. Might we see him as well?

The announcement came via a collection of tweets across the Spider-Verse, but specifically, the official account (below).

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 (working title) is slated to swing its way into theaters on April 8, 2022.
