Filmmaker Jonathan Entwistle Enlisted to Reboot POWER RANGERS

An all-new adaptation of The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is coming, this time at Paramount Pictures, which has selected Jonathan Entwistle to spearhead the reboot.

The film will be based on the series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which ran from 1993-99. It has since been adapted numerous times, whether for television or the big screen, including a failed attempt at a potential new franchise in 2017 with Power Rangers. It cost $100 million to make, but only pulled in roughly $42 million after breaking even, which scraped the idea.

Entwistle is best-known for his work on The End of the F***ing World, which Netflix adapted from the original graphic novel of the same title. He’s also currently adapting another OGN as a series, for 2020 in, I Am Not Okay With This.

No news yet on when production begins for the upcoming MMPR reboot, but stay tuned to Galaxtic Pop for updates!
